Quaking Aspens, Mazama, WA

I lived on Quaking Aspen Road in the North Cascades for nine years and grew to love my address's namesake.
 
 
The leaves of the aspen tree are small, rounded and attached to the branches by long, flexible stems, which let them flutter freely. They catch your eye when there's a breeze and sound like thousands of soft coins whispering secrets.
