Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone

Nature can be found right around the corner from where you live or deep inside a National Park. Both experiences are moving and some completely blow you away.
 
 
The Grand Canyon of Yellowstone is a poster child of the raw power and beauty of nature. Stretching nearly 20 miles long, it's a spectacle of pastel-colored cliffs that reach up to 1,200 feet high. The canyon's walls are a palette of pinks, oranges, and yellows, a result of the iron compounds in the rhyolite rock reacting with the air.
 
The memory of this moment, taken from a 2018 photo and painted on canvas, still stays with me.
