How it Started

I call this "How it Started" because it's the first plein air painting I ever did. In 2018 I sold 95% of what I owned, put everything that was left in a 5 x 8 U-Haul trailer and drove 1,800 to our 200-acre family farm in Lublin, WI. 
 
I told myself I was going to teach myself how to paint and that I would produce 10 paintings in three months. I ended up doing 12 paintings in two-and-a-half months, and then I got pretty lonely, packed everything up and moved back to Washington.
 
And that's how it started.
